Aerostat:
I arranged for seal strength tests, ballonet material flex tests, and tear
tests to be conducted by the test lab. Worked on large material patterns.
Coordinated rework/return activity on problem aerostat air valve parts.
CAD: Researched ballonet design procedures with PTC's CADDS 4X. Wrote CVMAC language program to extract part data for CNC machining. Cyclocrane heavy lift airship proposal: I wrote programs to calculate envelope surface areas and volumes. Also calc'd internal rigging lengths, envelope seam lengths and designed blower inflation capacity for ascent and decent rates. Fat Albert: On site for inflation of radar aerostat and proof pressure test at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (Patrick AFB.) |
